Ian is the CEO of the Rugby League Players' Association.
Ian played 65 games for the Carlton Football Club from 1999 – 2006 and has a degree in law
from Monash University.
Following his career at Carlton, Ian moved to Adelaide for two years and worked at Griffin
Hilditch Lawyers. He then returned to Melbourne and spent a year working for Kelly Hazell Quill
Lawyers, predominantly focusing on media law.
He then followed his passion to the AFL Players’ Association at the end of 2009 in the role of GM – Player Relations
For six years Ian acted as an advocate for players, seeking to maintain and improve the terms and conditions
of AFL players’ employment. He also oversaw the accreditation and regulation of AFL agents,
together with providing advice and guidance for players and agents in relation to a wide range
of player issues.
Ian is now the CEO of the Rugby League Players' Association.
